get to know me meme: [10/10] actors/actresses
emma stone - “I realize I have a lot of amazing opportunities, but I don’t know how you can play a human being going through real human experiences without being able to walk down the street. If you can’t live a real life, how do you play a real person? It always confuses me when actors work back-to-back-to-back with no break. If you live your life on a film set, how the hell can you relate to real people? You don’t know what its like to not have people fussing over you all day, and that’s not life - that’s silly movies. I will always want to take breaks and I wouldn’t be OK with losing that.”

Finding it a wee bit ironic that the people who are demanding rule of law are the exact people who are breaking the law and feel like it’s okay just because they believe they are morally right…

About what’s happening in Hong Kong

waiting4equestria:

So a post about the protests in Hong Kong has been circulating Tumblr right now, which isn’t too surprising. Tumblr gets all excited about those “down with government! down with order!” type of things (and promptly forgets them days later). Nonetheless, I’d like to offer my own thoughts on this subject, to clear up a few things.

Oh my goodness people need to read this because I agree so much. The glorification of the protest needs to stop.

everlastingday:

I thought about whether I should comment on this at all, but I feel like if I don’t I might go insane, so here it is. Sorry to disturb the fandom blogging but for those of you who have been following me for a while you should know I post some socio-political rants once in a while.

Let me just…

OH MY GOD. I AGREE WITH YOU. SO MUCH. you said everything and you phrased it so much better than i could ever have, too. even if your opinion is unpopular, i think it’s really great that you are holding firm to what you think because i do feel that this is the side on reason.
haha there is no point in this comment - just that i’m really glad that there are people who also have this opinion besides me and my friend >.<

Thank you for your kind comment! I’ve read pretty much all your posts on the issue and I agree with most, if not all of what you’ve said. I’m so glad I’m not alone in how I feel about this topic. I just wish people could remain calm and rational about the whole situation, and see how out of hand it’s seriously gotten. To any of my followers who care about this at all (no matter what side you’re on), please do spend some time and read a bit of what this girl (guy? sorry I have no idea) has written on the issue. It’s all very well-reasoned and worth your time.

I just wanted to say I really admire your post about your thoughts on Occupy Central, my opinion is more or less completely the same as yours, and that I wrote a similar post but deleted it. Because self-censorship is more dangerous than no Instagram. In short, thank you for saying what I don't dare to say.

I don’t really know what to say. Thank you so much for this message, honestly. I was so hesitant about posting my opinion because it is such an unpopular one (I’ve even had people unfollow me on Twitter and stuff) but I realized this was exactly the reason why I should post it. It’s so great to hear that there’s at least one other person out there who feels the same way I do, and hopefully this means there are more of us. I just want to see the conflict end, and I really do think that all this support for the protest is simply adding fuel to the fire and preventing the protesters from backing down (which I truly believe is the only way to prevent and reduce casualties at this point in time).
